Hotel Poqueira II provided a charming backdrop for my family's recent adventure. Nestled in the quaint village of Capileira, the hotel offered easy access to the stunning Sierra Nevada mountains, where we enjoyed hiking and exploring the local scenery. Our room, though compact, was comfortable and featured a surprisingly spacious ensuite bathroom. The welcoming staff, particularly the ever-pleasant Pépé and Paco, made us feel at home. They swiftly resolved a heating issue late at night, embodying that familial spirit I greatly appreciate in hospitality. As an archaeologist, I value cultural experiences, and the hotel's proximity to historical sites in the region was an added bonus. Although the large restaurant was closed, the artwork from a Japanese painter who lived there left a lasting impression.
